Chloe and Xyrem - Registry Wedding

Sheryl Mungall Celebrant - Glendowie

Simple. Intimate. Meaningful.

Chloe and Xyrem wanted a wedding without all the fluff. No enormous guest list, complicated timeline or huge price tag. Just the chance to get dressed up, gather their closest family and say “I do”.

Their registry-style wedding took place in Glendowie with Sheryl Mungall Celebrant, accompanied by immediate family and Sheryl’s gorgeous little pooch. It was short, beautiful and straight to the point, proving that a meaningful wedding doesn’t need to be a large one.

A Wedding That Felt Like Them

Traditional weddings can be wonderful, but they aren’t right for everyone. Chloe and Xyrem knew they didn’t need an elaborate production to make their commitment feel important.

Instead, they chose a simple ceremony centred on the part that mattered most: getting married.

The small guest list created a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. There was no pressure to entertain a room full of people or rush between a long list of formalities. Everyone present was an important part of their lives, making the celebration feel personal from beginning to end.

And, of course, having an adorable dog there only made it better.

A Beautiful Glendowie Registry Wedding

Surrounded by greenery, the Glendowie setting felt private and peaceful. It was perfect for the intimate celebration Chloe and Xyrem had planned.

They still embraced the opportunity to dress up for the occasion. Chloe wore a simple white dress with a colourful bouquet, while Xyrem chose a light suit that complemented the relaxed feel of the day.

Keeping the wedding small didn’t mean it felt any less special. There were rings, family photos, plenty of affection and the unmistakable excitement of two people who had just become husband and wife.

Natural Photography for a Small Wedding

One of the things I enjoy most about photographing intimate weddings is being able to focus on the relationships between the people present.

With fewer formalities and a smaller group, there is more room for natural conversations, genuine laughter and quiet moments between the couple. The photography can feel less like working through a checklist and more like documenting the celebration as it happens.

For Chloe and Xyrem, we captured a mixture of relaxed couple portraits, family photos and the little interactions that gave the day its personality. The result was a gallery that felt warm, honest and true to the simplicity of their wedding.

Does a Registry Wedding Need a Photographer?

A registry wedding may be short, but it still marks one of the most important moments in a couple’s life.

Professional photography ensures that the ceremony, the people who joined you and the excitement of the day aren’t lost simply because you chose a smaller celebration. You also don’t necessarily need hours of coverage. A shorter photography package can be enough to document the ceremony, take family photos and create a relaxed set of portraits afterward.

It’s a simple option for couples who value meaningful photographs but don’t need the coverage associated with a large, traditional wedding.

Small Weddings Can Still Be Incredibly Special

Chloe and Xyrem’s Glendowie wedding showed that there is no minimum size required for a wedding to feel meaningful.

It was intimate without feeling incomplete, simple without feeling ordinary and beautifully focused on what the day was actually about: two people choosing one another, surrounded by the family closest to them.
